2022 MG ZS EV Facelift launched at Rs 21.99 lakh
The 2022 MG ZS EV arrives with more safety & connected car features, a bigger battery, enhanced driving range and new styling. Prices start from ₹21.99 lakh for the entry-level Excite trim and go up to ₹25.88 lakh for the fully-loaded Exclusive variant.

The 2022 MG ZS EV arrives with more safety & connected car features, a bigger battery, enhanced driving range and new styling.
A little over a year after launching the 2021 iteration, MG Motor India has launched the heavily-updated ZS EV facelift, with prices starting from ₹21.99 lakh for the entry-level Excite trim and going up to ₹25.88 lakh for the fully-loaded Exclusive variant (all figures are ex-showroom). However, for now, customers can only get their hands on the Exclusive version as bookings for the Excite variant will open in July 2022.
Though technically a mid-cycle facelift, what makes the 2022 version significant is the fact that its design is now based on its petrol-powered sibling, the Astor mid-size SUV. As a result, the ZS EV facelift comes with a refreshed grille, 17-inch 'Tomahawk' design wheels and 'Hawkeye' LED head- and taillamps. Likewise, the cabin of the ZS EV facelift has also been modified extensively, with some newly-added comfort features like a rear-centre headrest, rear-centre armrest with cup holders and rear AC vents.
The facelift also brings along some major mechanical changes to the ZS EV. It's now powered by a bigger 50.3kWh battery pack (up from 44.5kWh) that's also claimed to be the largest in its segment. Coupled with a new eight-layer hairpin motor, the 2022 ZS EV develops 174bhp and 280Nm of torque. As a result, it can clock 0 – 100km/h in 8.5 seconds. A bigger battery also means an improved range, that's now at 461kms (up from 419kms).
In terms of features, the 2022 ZS EV builds upon the list of its predecessor. The list now includes a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity), a fully-digital instrument cluster with a seven-inch embedded LCD screen, five USB charging ports, wireless phone charging, auto climate control with PM 2.5 filtration, and many more.
