2024 Mustang Mach-E Rally is Ford's Most Off-road Capable Performance EV to Date

Ford has revealed its first-ever rally-inspired EV - the Mustang Mach-E Rally. The rally variant gets an improved version of the Mach-E GT's dual-motor setup. Let's take a closer look at the other features of Ford's new rally-focused model.

Ford Mustang Mach E Rally Front

The rally-inspired Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally is a new member of the Mustang Mach-E family. Early in 2024, it will be for sale, and deliveries will start shortly after. Although the exact price has not been disclosed, the company claims aiming for an introductory price of about $65,000 in the U.S. This car gets an improved version of the Mustang Mach-E GT's powerplant and a four-wheel drive system.

With a two-motor arrangement, the vehicle targets a minimum of 881.2Nm of torque and a power output of around 473bhp. More specific details are anticipated to arrive closer to the launch. Using a 91kWh lithium-ion battery, the targeted EPA-estimated range is around 402 kilometres on a single charge. The automaker claims that the vehicle can be charged from 10% to 80% in 36 and a half minutes by employing a DC Fast Charger. Let's take a closer look at further details of this EV.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally: Design and Features 

The Mustang Mach-E Rally's exterior features include upper and lower body moldings, a black-coated steel roof, a distinctive front splitter, a practical front fascia with integrated rally-inspired fog lights, a Focus RS-inspired rear spoiler, Michelin CrossClimate tyres mounted on 19-inch rally wheels in gloss white, and more. The Model rides on a 20mm-higher suspension than the Mustang Mach-E GT and is fitted with MagneRide shocks and specially tuned springs. Further, the front and rear motors of the EV get shielding on the underside.

With distinctive features like white accents across the cabin to match the wheels, the car's interior differs slightly from the Mach-E GT. It gets special Mach-E Rally badging, sports seats, and a 15.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is similar to previous Mach-E versions. The Rally model does not, however, have the panoramic sunroof found in other high-end Mach-E models. The Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally sports a unique RallySport Drive Mode for off-road driving that improves control, allows for greater slides, and improves handling in sloppy corners.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally: Mechanical Specifics

An improved dual-motor system from the Mach-E GT is used in the Mach-E Rally. Ford is aiming for 473bhp and 881.2Nm in terms of performance stats for the Rally. According to Ford's calculations, the Mustang Mach-E can travel 402 kilometres in the rally version on a single charge. Also, the carmaker claims that it can quickly charge from 10% to 80% in just over 30 minutes.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally: Price and Availability

Although the precise cost has not been made public, the automaker states that it is aiming for an initial price of roughly $65,000 in the United States. The vehicle will go on sale in 2024 and deliveries will commence shortly after.
