2024 Skoda Kodiaq Spotted Testing

The next-generation Skoda Kodiaq was spotted testing at the Nurburgring. Images of the vehicle reveal minimal design details due to heavy camouflage all around. If you have seen the current Kodiaq model, the three-row SUV in these spy images will surely look familiar. The front end is shaped by a similar grille with thick vertical bars, sweptback headlights, and a curvaceous bumper with air curtains. To help your car keep its cool, the exterior design incorporates a central intake with a new mesh insert. Furthermore, the crossover gets a redesigned hood, an angular shoulder line, a slightly flat roof, and more. The rear end, on the other hand, doesn't really reveal much, however, a previous teaser image hinted that the crossover will have taillights with C-shaped LEDs and a large spoiler at the back. Moreover, the revamped rear bumper is also likely on the cards.

Since the 1930s, when it was first introduced, the Superb has gone through several generations. The third-generation Superb, which debuted in 2015, has delivered more than 7.77 lakh units to customers, whereas the Kodiaq, which debuted in 2016, has already sold more than 8 lakh units globally.

The production of the Skoda Kodiaq's successor will continue at the Czech Republic's Kvainsy plant. According to Skoda, the new "Kodiaq Kodiaq will take safety, technology, and versatility to the next level."

Skoda BEV Range Expansion Plans

Skoda intends to roll out 6 new electric vehicles in the market by 2026. After investing a total of €5.6 billion in e-mobility, the company plans to expand its line-up of electric vehicles to six models by 2026. A roomy "Combi" estate model, a seven-seater SUV dubbed "Space," a "Small" BEV in the small SUV segment, and a "Compact" Elroq in the compact SUV segment are among the four new EVs. The Enyaq iV and the Enyaq Coupé iV were the first two Skoda models to utilise the Volkswagen Group's Modular Electrification Platform (MEB).
