The OG Sierra was undeniably an icon of its era, carved into history as the first SUV made in India. The new model, set to launch in India on November 25, aims to revive that legacy while reimagining it for a new generation. For the first time, the nameplate will also feature an electrified version. Tata showcased the concept version of the Sierra ICE at Auto Expo 2025, and now the production model is ready to make an impact. Before its launch, fully revealed images have emerged, giving us a detailed look at its exterior, interior, and the key features. Keep reading to discover what’s new with the Sierra, how it has evolved, and what makes it stand out.
The upright stance is still very much there, but it’s clear that the new Sierra is far from a nostalgic throwback. An LED light strip at the front links the slim headlamps, flanked by a dark grille proudly bearing the Sierra badge, while a wide silver skid plate anchors the bumper. On the side, the new Sierra boasts a five-door configuration, flush handles, and slim gloss-black cladding over the wheel arches. A set of large diamond-cut alloys, along with the contrasting black roof and C-pillar that subtly pay tribute to the classic Sierra’s rear window design, complete the look. The rear includes a full-width LED taillight strip, a neatly integrated roof spoiler, and a dual-tone sculpted bumper.

At first glance, the cabin looks both refined and tech-focused. What’s attractive? There are three expansive 12.3-inch screens on the dash. The center console follows the design cues of the new Harrier, and features a wireless charging pad, an electronic parking brake, rotary gear selector. Other highlights include ambient lighting, a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The new Sierra is expected to offer multiple powertrain choices, including a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel, with manual or automatic gearboxes.
