Citroen has revealed the 2026 Basalt Vision Coupe SUV in Brazil, giving the model its global debut and marking an important step in the brand’s plan for emerging markets. The Basalt Vision is built on the Stellantis CMP platform and targets midsize SUV buyers in regions where coupe-style models are gaining interest.
Citroen aims to grow its reach in South America with this launch, focusing on markets that prefer vehicles with simple proportions and usable space. The Basalt Vision also supports Citroen’s plan to expand its SUV range across more regions. With this model, the company wants to appeal to buyers who want a midsize SUV with practical space use and a coupe-inspired profile that stands out in its segment.

The Basalt Vision enters the midsize SUV group as a model suited for varied use. The reveal in Brazil shows Citroen’s plan to strengthen its presence in markets where demand supports compact sizes and new design formats. The company plans to use the Basalt Vision to widen its global SUV portfolio and match changing buyer preferences in key regions.
The exterior features a coupe-style sloping roof, a vertical bonnet, slim LED headlamps and a grille aligned with Citroen’s current design language. Large alloy wheels and cladding support its stance, while the rear carries C-shaped LED tail lamps and an integrated spoiler.
The Basalt Vision is expected to offer a touchscreen media unit and a digital driver display. The cabin layout focuses on simple space use for daily needs, with seating and storage designed for family and city buyers. The model aims to offer easy access to tech features while keeping the interior practical.
Citroen is expected to offer the Basalt Vision with petrol engines for multiple markets, paired with manual and automatic gearbox options. The focus remains on efficiency for both city and highway use.
