All 100 Units of Skoda Octavia RS Sold Out in India Ahead of Launch

Skoda opened bookings for the allocated 100 units of the Octavia RS in India on October 6, with a token amount of Rs 2.50 lakh even before the official price announcement scheduled for October 17. Now, the company has confirmed that all units have been sold out, reflecting the strong demand for the performance sedan in the Indian market.

The Octavia RS was showcased earlier this year at the Auto Expo 2025 and has since generated significant buzz as a sportier alternative to premium sedans like the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Audi A4, and BMW 2 Series. While the official price is yet to be revealed, the Octavia RS is expected to cost between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda Octavia RS: Engine

The Skoda Octavia RS packs a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 257bhp and 370Nm. The unit is mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission that delivers power exclusively to the front wheels.

Performance-wise, the Octavia RS accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.4 seconds, and has a top speed electronically limited to 250km/h. It is equipped with a sport-tuned suspension setup and a specially tuned exhaust system.

Skoda Octavia RS: Exterior and Interior

The Skoda Octavia RS boasts aggressive styling cues and a performance-focused cabin. It has a gloss black butterfly grille, Matrix LED headlamps, and signature V-shaped LED DRLs. The performance sedan rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and has wraparound LED taillights and a rear black boot lip spoiler.

Inside, the Octavia RS features a race-inspired all-black theme with red accents, a flat-bottom RS steering wheel, a large 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 10-inch digital cockpit. Other highlights include heated, power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, and ambient lighting.
