The new Celerio is expected to make its debut with new underpinnings and a longer feature list. However, all this is likely to increase the price of the new hatchback.

Maruti Suzuki will launch the all-new generation of the Celerio on November 10, 2021. The new hatchback is expected to be based on a new underpinning, which will be a derivative of Maruti Suzuki's HEARTECH platform.

The engine is likely to be the same 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol unit but with some minor updates. There is a good chance that the new Celerio will feature the Swift's 1.2-liter four-pot motor as well - the larger engine, however, is likely to be reserved for the higher variants. The gearbox options will include a five-speed manual and an AMT.

With the new platform, the Celerio is also expected to gain some length, width, and height, making the hatchback larger than before, which will most probably translate into a larger, roomier cabin than that of the outgoing model.

The feature list is also likely to be longer - the Celerio will most probably have the firm's current-gen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

Maruti Suzuki has already started accepting bookings for the new Celerio for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The price of the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio is expected to range between Rs 4.80 lakh and Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
