In 2022, Mercedes-Benz introduced the revamped GLC for the global market, and now a year later, the SUV has arrived in India. The luxury car's cost begins at Rs 73.5 lakh and goes all the way to Rs 74.5 lakh in our market. Both prices are ex-showroom. For the uninitiated, the GLC SUV has consistently been significant for the company's product range, positioned between the GLA and the GLE. The manufacturer claims that the latest model will be popular with Indian consumers because of its modern design, enhanced features, and increased size.

The GLC is available in five paint schemes – Mojave Silver, Nautic Blue, Polar White, Selenite Grey, and Obsidian Black – and can be had in two variants: the GLC 300 and the GLC 220d. Let's look at details, like its features, specs, and other aspects.

2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC: Powertrain

The updated SUV is available in India with two engine options – a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The GLC 300 variant is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which produces 254bhp at 5,800rpm and 400Nm of torque between 2,000rpm and 3,000rpm. This setup yields a fuel efficiency of 14.72km/l. Meanwhile, the GLC 220d version is equipped with a 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder turbo-diesel motor, which generates 440Nm of torque between 1,800rpm and 2,800rpm and 194bhp at 3,800rpm, delivering a fuel-economy figure of 19.47km/l. Both engines now feature mild hybrid capabilities, providing a power boost of 23bhp and 200Nm. Both motors are available with an automatic transmission. Plus, the SUV is also equipped with 4 Matic off-road technology. The petrol version can do the 0 – 100km/h sprint in 6.2 seconds, while the diesel model claims to take 8 seconds for the sprint.

2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC: Dimensions

In comparison to the outgoing model, the 2023 GLC is larger, measuring 4,716mm in length, 2,075mm in width, and 1,640mm in height.
