Mercedes-Benz has updated the C-Class sedan's lineup in India by launching the new C 300 AMG Line. Priced at Rs 69 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Mercedes-Benz C 300 AMG Line replaces the C 300d AMG Line, which was previously offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine (261bhp/550Nm). This comes in the backdrop of a growing shift in demand from diesel to petrol engines in the luxury sedan segment.

With the new range-topping C 300 AMG Line, you get a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine which makes 254bhp and 400Nm of torque. These numbers increase by 22bhp and 205Nm, using an integrated starter generator. Also, the vehicle gets an overboost function that helps draw out an additional 27bhp for a 30-second interval. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission. According to Mercedes-Benz, the C 300 AMG Line can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 6 seconds before hitting a top speed of 250km/h.

Other bits include a Burmester 3D surround sound system, digital lights, augmented reality navigation, blind spot assist, and a keyless-go comfort package. Manufaktur colour options (Patagonia Red and Sodalite Blue) are also on offer.
