The all-new Nissan Skyline is back with a fresh teaser ahead of its global debut, and this one carries weight. It’s the first proper update in over a decade, and from what’s out, Nissan hasn’t messed with the basics. You still get a rear-wheel-drive setup, and a manual gearbox could stay in the mix. At the same time, the new car brings updated driver assistance tech and a more digital cabin. This new Skyline will share its platform with an upcoming Infiniti version, which will get its own look and cabin.

It’s also part of Nissan’s bigger plan for its sedan line-up, with a mix of petrol and electrified models coming in.
Up front, the design looks clean and sharp, with vertical lighting elements and a more angular approach overall. Alfonso Albaisa has said the design pulls from older Skylines but avoids going full retro. The stance still looks low and planted, which is exactly what you expect here.

At the rear, the classic circular taillights are still there, and they now sit slightly out from the body, giving a bit of depth. You also get the Skyline script on the rear wing, which ties it back to older models without trying too hard.
Under the bonnet, expect an updated 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 from the Nissan Z. Power is likely in the 420bhp to 450bhp range, which puts it neatly between the Z and the GT-R. It sticks with rear-wheel drive and a manual option, so this one is still built around how it drives, not just numbers.

The Skyline traces its roots back to 1957 under the Prince Motor Company, joined Nissan in 1966, evolved through icons like the R32, R33, and R34, then moved to a V6 with the V35, and continues with the V37 that brought hybrid tech and the 400R trim.
