Audi offers heavy discounts before GST cess hike

In view of the revised GST structure that'll see luxury cars attract an additional 10 per cent cess, Audi India is offering attractive offers on the Q3, A3 and A4. 

Following the government’s proposal to increase GST cess on SUVs and high-end luxury cars, Audi has announced a number of offers for customers buying the Q3 SUV, A3 and A4 sedans in the country. According to the German luxury car maker, customers buying these three models can avail low EMIs, free first-year insurance and other “unbeatable” offers.

Although there were huge price cuts on Audi cars post-GST implementation, all high-end cars are going to go back to their earlier prices very soon. The Ministry of Finance is mulling revising the current tax structure for SUVs and luxury cars and plans to increase the cess on these vehicles by 10 per cent. If everything goes to plan, the new tax structure will come into effect within a month’s time!

Now while the move may come as a setback to luxury car makers, Audi is apparently doing everything possible so as to lure new luxury car buyers. The company is offering EMIs starting at Rs 24,999 on its aforementioned entry-level models, while complimentary insurance for the first year, three-year service package and two-year extended warranty are also being offered to buyers of the Q3, A3 and A4 models. Additionally, Audi is offering these cars at an interest rate of 7.99 per cent, plus there’s an exchange bonus of Rs 1 lakh.

Commenting on the proposed GST hike as well as on the new offers, Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi India, said, “Keeping in mind the proposed increase in cess, this is an opportune time to join the Audi family.
