2018 Audi Q5 45 TFSI Petrol Action

Both these models celebrate their 10th Anniversary in India and to commemorate the occasion, Audi is offering a discount of Rs 5.9 lakh on the Q5 and Rs 6.1lakh on the flagship Q7 SUV

Those looking to buy a luxury SUV may want to visit an Audi dealership before finalising on their drive. As the German brand celebrates the 10th Anniversary of the mid-sized Q5 and the flagship Q7, the company has slashed the prices of both the models. After a discount of Rs 5.9 lakh, the Q5 in the 45 TFSI petrol and the 40 TDI diesel can be had at a starting price of Rs 49.99 lakh. The Q7 45 TFSI on the other hand, after a discount of Rs 4.92 lakh, is priced at Rs 68.9 lakh. The diesel iteration is not available at Rs 71.99 lakh after a discount of Rs 6.1 lakh. All prices ex-showroom India.

Keeping the discounts in mind, the Q5 diesel is now cheaper than its immediate rivals the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and the Volvo XC60.

Commenting on the offer, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India said, “Since their market introduction in 2009 in India, the Audi Q5 and Audi Q7 have won several hearts and have paved the way for the success of the Audi brand in India. As these two immensely popular models from our portfolio complete a decade in India, we want to reward our customers and Audi enthusiasts with special prices. This celebratory pricing will make our iconic Q-models accessible to luxury enthusiasts"

Audi offers the Q5 and Q7 with petrol and diesel engine options. The mid-sized SUV is on sale in 2.0-litre petrol and diesel motors which produce 248bhp and 188bhp respectively. The Q7, on the other hand, gets the same petrol motor as the Q5. The diesel, however, is the more powerful 3.0-litre V6 that pumps out 245bhp and 600Nm.

Over the last year or so, Audi has been rather quiet as far as new launches are concerned. That, however, is now changing with the recent launch of the new A6. The Ingolstadt-based carmaker has the new A8, Q8 as well as the electric e-tron on the cards in the near future.
