Audi RS E-Tron GT Ice Race Edition Marks Global Debut; Will be Limited to 99 Units

The RS e-Tron GT Ice Race Edition has been unveiled by the German automaker to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Audi Sport GmbH. The luxury brand asserts that the distinctive GP Ice Race in Austria served as inspiration for this special version. The body's external skin reflects the hues of the icy surroundings, which continue inside. According to the German marque, the edition will only be sold in 99 units in Europe and house the same powerful electric drivetrain as the base e-tron GT. The vehicle packs an electric motor that powers each axle, producing a combined 582bhp or 628bhp in boost mode. It claims to take 3.1 seconds to go from 0 to 100km/h and offers a driving range of around 373 kilometre.

Audi RS E-Tron GT Ice Race Edition: Design Highlights
The special edition's base colour is a Florett silver metallic, and its foil wrap gives the appearance of three-dimensional ice crystals. According to the manufacturer, the addition of purple highlights on the side sills and nose adds another splash of hue to the vehicle. Further, the limited-run model rolls on five-spoke black wheels that measure 21-inch in size. Commenting on the edition's look, Christopher Kroener, Color and Trim designer said, “I wanted the vehicle to pay homage to the thrilling motorsport atmosphere and the spirit of past racing legends while looking to the future.''
He further added ''The allusions to ice and snow add a special dimension to the design. The color play between white and silver pays homage to the cool atmosphere. It is meant to pick up on the icy glitter and shimmer of the snow and convey the feeling of speed and dynamism experienced at the GP Ice Race during winter in Zell am See.”
Audi RS E-Tron GT Ice Race Edition: Interior
The Audi RS E-Tron GT Ice Race Edition's infotainment system displays the car's serial number out of a total of 99. Silver leather is used for the seat center panels, shoulder arches, and side bolsters, with black accents and purple stitching for contrast. The RS symbol and Audi Exclusive insignia are also present on the floor mats, and leather and Alcantara are used on the steering wheel. Additionally, the cabin gets purple ambient lighting.

At its heart, the limited-run model gets the same powertrain found on the standard e-tron GT.
