Auto Expo 2023: Maruti Suzuki has revealed the Concept eVX in India. Suzuki Motor Corporation in Japan has created this mid-size electric SUV concept that boasts future SUV design aspects such as an upright stance and high seating. The eVX, a concept electric SUV, will be powered by a 60kWh battery pack with a maximum driving range of 550 Kilometres. Based on an all-new dedicated EV platform, the production-ready model will reportedly go on sale in India in early 2025. The new Maruti eVX SUV concept is larger than the Hyundai Creta. It has a 2700mm long wheelbase, which provides room for a battery pack. The model serves as the foundation for the 27PL platform, which is based on Toyota's 40PL global architecture. It sports a sharp grille up front and LED DRLs for the headlamps. In addition, the EV concept includes large wheel arches, alloy wheels, a roofline resembling that of a coupe, and a sharply angled rear with a minimal overhang.

Maruti Suzuki has not provided many details regarding the eVX's power specifics, but it has confirmed that it will boast a dual motor configuration for a 4x4 powertrain. The eVX Concept's interior is yet unknown, but it will undoubtedly be fitted with connected technology and most likely sport multiple big-sized displays.

The upcoming electric car by Maruti Suzuki will compete with the Tata Nexon EV that costs between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 17.50 lakh (all, ex-showroom) in India. The Concept eVX's base model is expected to be priced at Rs. 13 lakh and its top variants are most likely to cost Rs 15 lakh. It will also go against the models like the Hyundai Kona Electric and the MG ZS EV.
