Bentley Bentayga goes official

Bentley has taken covers off its first SUV, one that it claims to be the fastest car in its segment.

Powered by a mighty 6.0-litre, 12 cylinder engine that develops 600bhp, the Bentley Bentayga races from 0 to 100km/hr in 4.1 seconds, before topping at 301km/hr.

Away from the headline power figures and over to its looks, the Bentayga features four distinctive headlamps up front, while a skid plate is integrated into the lower section of the front bumper. A panoramic sunroof also comes as standard with the Bentayga.

Inside, Bentley’s latest offering is is clad in leather upholstery, while highly polished, handcrafted metals adorn the dashboard, centre consoles, and the doors. There’s also a 8 inch touchscreen in the dashboard, a 10.2 inch Android tablet for rear passengers, and 1,950 watt Naim speakers.

In all, buyers will have plenty of options to choose from, in addition to special customizations: 5 leather shades, 15 carpets, 7 wood veneers , wheel options ranging from 20 to 22 inches, and 17 standard color options.
