Bharat Mobility Expo: Skoda Enyaq iV Electric SUV Makes India Debut

Bharat Mobility Expo: The Skoda has entered India's electric vehicle segment by showcasing the Enyaq iV electric SUV at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Show. Even though there hasn't been a formal announcement, the upcoming e-SUV could be on sale in India by March of this year. Industry reports state that the CBU route will be used for the electric model's initial introduction into our market. If high demand persists, Skoda might think about assembling the car locally. Skoda's first electric vehicle for India is expected to come equipped with plenty of amenities including dual-cup holders, an auto-dimming IRVM, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and more. Notably, the electric car from Skoda will share the booth at the three-day event with a couple of exciting ICE and EV models from Volkswagen Group brands—Lamborghini, Audi, and Porsche. Read on to learn more about the model that has just made its debut on our shores at the first-ever Bharat Mobility show.

Skoda Enyaq iV: Key Design Details

The design elements of the car include a radiant grille with a black-coloured surround, sweptback LED headlamps, a black insert running the length of the bumper, and a number plate recess over the air dam. The car's interior is probably going to have a big, freestanding touchscreen infotainment device, two cupholders, an auto-dimming IRVM, a multifunction steering wheel with three spokes, and a compact gear lever, among others.

Skoda Enyaq iV: Powertrain

The Enyaq iV will have the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform, which is also found in the Audi Q4 e-tron and Volkswagen ID.4 crossovers. There hasn't been any update by Skoda, but the Enyaq iV 80x model may come to India. It includes two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the back axle, and a 77kWh battery. The Enyaq iV 80x has a 513-kilometre range and can accelerate from a complete halt to 100km/h in 6.9 seconds.

Skoda Enyaq iV: Expected Pricing

Upon launch in India, the new Skoda Enyaq iV is anticipated to come with a price tag that ranges between Rs 60 lakh and Rs 70 lakh. Both are ex-showroom prices.
