With this, BMW India has formally started local production of its prestigious Individual cars.

The BMW Individual 740Li M Sport Edition has been launched at ₹1.43 crore (ex-showroom) and, with this, the German marque has officially started local production of its bespoke 'Individual' cars. For those not aware, the BMW Individual customisation programme offers an array of personalisation options to customers who wish to own a bespoke set of wheels.

Though locally produced, only a few units of this special Individual Edition are up for grabs and those who wish to buy one have a choice of two BMW Individual metallic colours – Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey – that have been paired with Mocha and Black combination Nappa leather upholstery. Inside, a Design Pure Excellence interior package sets the tone, along with 'BMW Individual' stitched badging and personalised rear-seat headrests and backrest cushions finished in Alcantara, while the 'M Sport' is reflected in the Individual Edition's exterior and performance.

Speaking of performance, the 740Li M Sport is powered by a three-litre six-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine that develops 335bhp and 450Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox that's enough to proper the 740Li from 0 – 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds.
