BMW X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition launched at Rs 1.20 crore in India

Only 100 units of the BMW X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition will arrive in India. The cars will have M-specific elements including retro ones as a celebration. Here's everything you need to know.

BMW X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition

The 50 Jahre M Edition of the X7 celebrates 50 years of the M division.

BMW has launched the 50 Jahre M Edition of the X7 in India at Rs 1.20 crore (ex-showroom). The company has introduced the car with the 40i M Sport variant and only 10 units of the car will come to India. 

The launch comes after BMW had launched the 50 Jahre M Edition of the 6-series and the M4 Competition Coupe in India. Both the cars were also brought to our shores in limited numbers. The 50 Jahre M Edition celebrates 50 years of BMW’s M division. 

On the outside the X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition comes with M-themed elements like the kidney grille that is finished in gloss black along with the sills and air dams. The car drives on 21-inch M wheels that come with matching brake callipers. Additionally, the car gets a retro BMW M logo and will be available in white and black paint options. 

On the inside, the car gets an M steering wheel and seat belts. The company is offering an accessories package that includes liberal use of carbon fibre and Alcantara. The list of features is sumptuous as well with a panoramic sunroof, two 12.3-inch screens, heated seats and steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, five zone climate-control, soft-close doors, glass trim, laser lighting, two rear 10.2-inch screens, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio and reversing assistant.

In terms of powertrain, the car gets a 3.0-litre six-cylinder twin-turbo petrol that puts out 335bhp and 450 Nm via an M-tuned eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. It breaches triple-digit speeds in 6.1 seconds and comes with highly configurable M modes for the engine chassis and transmission.
