BMW X7 Highlights
The X7 is not only the manufacturer’s flagship SUV but also the largest vehicle ever produced by the carmaker. With the addition of the X7 in BMW’s SUV-line-up in 2019, the X-range now all the way from the X1 to the X7, with a model corresponding to every digit in between.
The X7 is an all-new model from BMW’s stable, meaning it’s in the first-generation of its lifespan currently. Moreover, the X7 is also the model that started the trend for super large kidney nostrils. Since it’s a CKD model, the BMW X7 price is quite appropriate in comparison to its size too. Here’s more on the BMW X7.
If you can look past that massive nose, the BMW X7 new model looks quite striking. Upfront, the massive kidney nostrils are flanked by a pair of slim headlamps, which are powered with BMW’s Laser technology.
Move over to the side, and the massive alloy wheels and strong shoulder line do well to hide the bulk of this Beemer. Things are quite simple at the rear as well, where the slender LED taillamps and a sporty bumper keep things balanced.
The BMW X7 variants are as follows: xDrive30d DPE, xDrive30d DPE Signature, and xDrive 40i. As for the equipment, the base-spec xDrive30d DPE variant gets a seven-seat layout, launch control, air suspension, LED headlights, 4-zone automatic climate control, powered front seats, powered rear window sunshades, digital instrument cluster, rear parking camera and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay.
On the safety front, you get seven airbags, ABS, ESC, traction control, hill descent control, Isofix child seat anchor, and a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard.
The interiors of the BMW X7 instantly make you feel at home if you happen to be familiar with the interior layout of newer age BMWs. The quality of materials and the overall interior surface are both fantastic, and that’s what makes the interiors of the X7 a wonderful place to spend time in, taking things on par with rivals in the same ballpark as the BMW X7 on-road price.
Engine Specifications & Performance
The X7 comes powered with either a diesel or a petrol powertrain. The base-spec variants are powered with a diesel engine; a 3.0-litre in-line six diesel, which is good for 262bhp and 620Nm of torque. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard. The top-of-the-line 40i trim is powered by a 3.0-litre in-line six petrol engine, which makes 335bhp and 450Nm of torque. It, too, comes mated to the same 8-speed automatic transmission.
