BYD Sealion 7 India Launch on February 17

After unveiling the Sealion 7 EV at the most recent Bharat Mobility Expo, BYD is set to announce the prices for the electric SUV Coupe in India on February 17, 2025. Bookings are currently open for Rs 70,000, while deliveries are expected to begin in March. The Sealion 7 will compete with the Kia EV6, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the Volvo EX40. It will be available in four colour options: Cosmos Black, Atlantis Grey, Aurora White, and Shark Grey. BYD Sealion 7: Design

The Sealion 7 features a tapered roofline that gives it an SUV coupe-like silhouette. The front sports sharp edges for a more aggressive look, with a low-set bonnet, slim LED headlights with integrated DRLs, and a closed-off grille.

The vehicle is equipped with alloy wheels, body-coloured ORVMs, and flush door handles. It has rugged black cladding and connected LED taillights with a distinctive, pixelated design, which adds to its modern and cutting-edge aesthetic.

BYD Sealion 7: Interior and Features

The standout feature of the upcoming BYD Sealion 7 is its 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and controls most of the car's functions. It adds a touch of sophistication, perfectly complementing the cabin's modern design. For added comfort and convenience, the cabin includes an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with a memory function, a head-up display (HUD), ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, 12 speakers, a panoramic glass roof, and a wireless phone charger. The car also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality.

BYD Sealion 7: Safety Suite

The Sealion 7 is equipped with a 360-degree camera system, ISOFIX child seat mounts, front and rear parking sensors, and 11 airbags. It also offers an extensive ADAS package, including blind spot detection, forward collision warning, and lane departure assist.

BYD Sealion 7: Battery and Range

The Sealion 7 comes in two trims: Premium and Performance (both versions powered by a single 82.56kWh battery). The premium RWD variant generates 308bhp and 380Nm of torque, offering a range of 567 kilometres on a full charge. Meanwhile, the performance AWD version boosts output to 523bhp and 690Nm, with a range of 542 kilometres.

The car sprints from 0 to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds and tops out at 215km/h.

Though the launch is just around the corner, the BYD Sealion 7 is anticipated to be priced at approximately Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom).
