Citroen has launched the C3X in India at a starting price of Rs 5.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker has packed in 15 new additions, including several new features designed to boost safety, comfort, and convenience. Even the fully loaded Shine Turbo AT variant is priced at Rs 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom), keeping the entire range under the Rs 10 lakh mark, a sweet spot for urban buyers looking for a tech-laden SUV without breaking the bank. The C3X builds upon the familiar stance of the standard C3 but adds a sharper and more premium touch. It now comes with LED Vision projector headlamps, LED fog lamps, and an all-LED illumination package for improved night driving.

A ground clearance of 180mm and a tight 4.98-metre turning radius make it practical for both city commutes and weekend getaways. Buyers also get new monotone shades like Garnet Red, Steel Grey, and Perla Nera Black, along with stylish dual-tone paint options.
Citroen has upgraded the cabin with a leatherette-wrapped dashboard and a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The automatic climate control system has been fine-tuned for Indian conditions, while rear passengers benefit from a USB Type-C fast charger.

Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX mounts, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Highlights among the new tech are the Proxi-Sense hands-free entry, a HALO 360-degree camera with multiple viewing modes, and cruise control.
Powering the C3X are two petrol options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 81bhp with a 5-speed manual, and a 1.2-litre turbocharged unit making 108bhp and 205Nm, available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. The turbo version can clock 0-100 kmph in under 10 seconds while delivering a claimed 19.3 kmpl efficiency.

With rivals like the Tata Punch, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite in its crosshairs, the Citroen C3X aims to carve a niche with its design flair, advanced features, and competitive pricing.
