The Dacia Duster pickup debuts in Romania with a dual-cab layout, one-metre cargo bed and drop-down tailgate, offering light utility with SUV comfort.

Dacia has introduced the all-new Duster pickup in Romania, expanding its established SUV range with a versatile light commercial model aimed at mixed-use drivers. Created in partnership with Romanian coachbuilder Romturingia, the Duster pickup combines a four-seat cabin with a compact cargo bed, offering a practical solution for buyers who need both passenger space and light-hauling capability. Prices start at approximately €26,000 (Rs 26.83 lakh), and the Duster pickup is currently exclusive to the Romanian market. In other countries such as the UK, the Duster van remains the commercial option, featuring two seats and a larger cargo hold.

The pickup carries the same trim levels as the SUV, offering buyers familiar equipment choices in a new, versatile format.
Built on the same platform as the popular Duster SUV, the pickup maintains the familiar dimensions of 4.34 metres in length, 1.81 metres in width, and 1.65 metres in height, alongside a 224mm ground clearance ideal for off-road conditions.

The rear part of the SUV is replaced with a plastic-lined load bed approximately one metre square, fitted with a drop-down tailgate, side rails and anchor points designed to secure items such as tools, camping gear or gardening supplies.
Two engine options are available: a 1.8-litre mild-hybrid petrol with all-wheel drive and a 1.2-litre petrol paired with four-wheel drive. Both variants utilise mild-hybrid technology from the SUV range to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. The petrol engine targets heavier work demands, while the hybrid delivers a smoother and more economical drive experience.

With a payload capacity of 430kg, the Duster pickup is aimed at lighter commercial tasks rather than heavy-duty work. It suits small businesses, hobbyists, or drivers needing occasional load space without sacrificing passenger comfort or SUV practicality.
