Before we get into what the best offers available on new cars this month, allow us a few minutes to tell you why this is the best time to buy a car. The end of a calendar year usually brings good benefits to those looking to purchase a new car. Manufacturers usually try to do away with existing stock produced in that year before the change in calendar. This time around, the case is even more intense, especially with the current automotive slowdown. Additionally, with the BS-VI norms coming into effect on 1^st April 2020, dealers are looking to clear their existing BS-IV stock. All of this will only help car buyers in pulling the best deal on new cars. Here’s a list of some of the best ongoing offers.

Maruti Suzuki:

For all those who blindly trust in Maruti Suzuki, the brand is offering some very lucrative offers on their cars. The company’s most affordable offering, the Alto 800, is now even more affordable. The small car is being offered with a cash discount of Rs 40,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. A corporate discount of another Rs 5,000 can also be availed. All of these offers are on the recently updated BS-VI iteration of the Alto 800. Most other models, like the Alto K10, Wagon R, Swift, DZire and the Vitara Brezza also have discounts and offers ranging from Rs 35,000 to Rs 60,000.

Volkswagen:

It is the best time to visit a Volkswagen dealership for fans of the German brand. The car maker is offering a cash discount of up to Rs 1.5 lakh on the Polo. Additionally, you can also get a Rs 25,000 corporate discount and an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000. The Ameo diesel is being offered at the price of a petrol. Select Volkswagen dealerships are offering total benefits of up to Rs 2.1 lakh which includes a Rs 1.5 lakh cash discount, Rs 40,000 corporate discount and Rs 20,000 as exchange bonus. Volkswagen is also offering benefits of Rs 2.6 lakh on the Tiguan for corporate customers.

Tata:

The Tiago is being offered with benefits of over Rs 57,000 for the petrol trim and Rs up to Rs 50,000 for the diesel. Tata’s sub-4 metre sedan offering, the Tigor can be had with discounts of up to Rs 70-80,000 depending on the variant. Compact SUV Nexon can be had with benefits ranging from Rs 42,500 to over Rs 80,000. The Tata Zest and Bolt, both are being offered with a cash discount of Rs 70,000.

Renault:

MPV buyers may want to consider the Lodgy given that it can be had at Rs 2 lakh less than its marked price. The Captur too is being offered at a cash discount of Rs 3 lakh. The recently launched Kwid face-lift can be had at Rs 10,000 less than the list price. Existing Renault customers can get an additional discount of Rs 5,000. Other offers include a 4-year warranty and 0% interest rate.

Honda:

Walk into a Honda dealership and you can get almost all of their products – the Jazz, WR-V and the City, with benefits ranging from Rs 45,000 to Rs 80,000. The Civic diesel is priced in the Rs 20.5 lakh to Rs 22.3 lakh range but can be had at Rs 2.5 lakh less. Petrol iterations of the Civic are going at a discount of Rs 1.-1.25 lakh.

Full-size SUVs:

While there are no discounts or benefits to be had for the segment best-seller Toyota Fortuner, those looking to buy in this segment may be enticed by the offers on the Ford Endeavour. The manual transmission variant with the 2.2-litre motor is being offered with a cash discount of Rs 2 lakh. Automatic variants only have a discount of Rs 50,000. Meanwhile, Mahindra’s flagship SUV, the Alturas G4 is being sold with some interesting offers and benefits. Although the Nashik-based carmaker doesn’t have heavy cash discounts like Ford, customers can get benefits of Rs 3-4 lakh as a 3-year AMC package. Mahindra is only offering a cash discount of Rs 1 lakh. Honda is offering the CR-V 2WD at Rs 4 lakh less and the all-wheel drive version at a discount of Rs 5 lakh.

Nissan:

Nissan is offering heavy discounts and benefits on the Sunny and the Kicks too. The Kicks is being offered with a benefit of Rs 1.15 lakh, which includes a Rs 40,000 cash discount, an exchange bonus of Rs 40,000, and an additional corporate discount of Rs 10,000. Nissan is also offering a 5-year warranty for on the Kicks. You will have to shell out nearly a lakh less if you plan to purchase the Sunny. It is being offered with a Rs 50,000 cash discount, an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 14,000. Discount offers on the Datsun Go and Go Plus range between Rs 22-30,000.
