Ford launches Figo Aspire at Rs 4.9 lakh

To have a share of the lucrative compact sedan segment, Ford has launched the Figo Aspire in India at a starting price of Rs 4,89,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Aspire comes in three engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol trim that delivers 88 PS of power and fuel economy of 18.2 km/l, a 1.5-litre diesel version offering peak power of 100 PS and mileage of 25.8 km/l, and a 1.5-litre petrol variant that is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox.

On the safety front, the Aspire is the first car in its segment to provide dual airbags as a standard feature across the range. Higher variants come with as many as six airbags.

Speaking at the occasion, Nigel Harris, President and Managing Director, Ford India said: “Ford Figo Aspire breaks all stereotypes and proves that a compact sedan can also have the best of everything. Drawing on our global product development capabilities, we’re proud to have created a car that truly raises the bar in the segment and gives customers a chance to own what they deserve.”

Ford has also taken care of the entertainment needs of the customers, with the Aspire equipped with company’s SYNC with AppLink in-car connectivity system.

The Aspire is available in seven colours: Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Tuxedo Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ingot Silver and Smoke Grey.
