Four lakh Tata Tiago units on Indian roads!

The mighty Tata Tiago has hit the 400,000th production milestone in a record six years since its launch!

The Tata Tiago emerged on the Indian automotive landscape back in April 2016 when it was launched at a now-unbelievable price of Rs 3.20 lakh. And now, six years since its launch, the homegrown carmaker is celebrating the #Tiago4ever campaign that marks the utilitarian hatchback's 400,000th production milestone. To refresh the memory of our readers, the Tiago had crossed the one lakh sales milestone within just 18 months of its launch.

Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Mr Rajan Amba (VP – Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.) said, 'This is indeed a historic milestone for Tata Motors as Tiago is the first car to complete this milestone in a short span. Tiago has been a key product in our Turnaround 2.0 strategy and since its launch has been successful in grabbing a sizeable market share in the most crowded segment in the auto industry. The Tiago has become the preferred choice for youngsters who are looking for a stylish, feature-loaded, and safe car, with more than 60% of sales generated from first-time buyers.'

Over the years, Tiago has undergone significant changes and line-up expansion. Most recently, Tata had launched the Tiago iCNG – the first-ever CNG-powered version of the hatchback – in January. Before that, in August 2021, Tata brought back the Tiago NRG in its BS6 guise. Currently, the standard Tiago range is priced between ₹5.23 – 7.33 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
