The AWD system will be available both automatic and manual transmissions, and will be an ode to the original Grand Vitara SUV! On the features front, the Grand Vitara will pack in all the latest tech from the latest Maruti cars. The new 9-inch infotainment system, a 360-degree camera and a head-up display will all be part of the package.

As far as pricing goes, we expect the Maruti SUV to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (both ex-showroom). The range is so vast as the Grand Vitara will be a strong-hybrid SUV, meaning it will have an electric motor and battery pack, for the higher-end variants. Apart from its sister SUV, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Maruti Grand Vitara will be rivalling the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
