Honda’s third-generation Amaze has recorded a 5-star rating for adult occupant protection and a 4-star rating for child occupant protection in the Bharat NCAP crash tests, strengthening its position in the compact sedan segment. The sedan secured 28.33 out of 32 points for adult safety and 40.81 out of 49 for child safety after being tested under frontal offset and side impact conditions.
These tests included detailed assessments of vehicle structure, restraint systems, and impact performance. The Amaze achieved 14.33 out of 16 in the frontal offset test and 14 out of 16 in the side impact evaluation, leading to a combined dynamic score of 23.81 out of 24.

The crash test results show stable body integrity, with both adult dummies registering protection levels ranging from good to adequate in areas such as the chest, knees, and feet.
The footwell structure held its shape during the impact, supporting the overall score. The use of updated materials and changes made to the third-generation body structure have played a role in the Amaze’s performance across key test parameters.

Inside the cabin, Honda has equipped the Amaze with six airbags covering the knee, side chest, and pelvis sections. Standard systems include electronic stability control, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, seatbelt pretensioners with load limiters, and reminders for every occupant. The inclusion of adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist supports safer everyday driving and helps reduce the impact of driver error in city and highway conditions.
The Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 89bhp at 6,000rpm and 110Nm at 4,800rpm. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed CVT automatic. The front-wheel-drive layout supports predictable handling in mixed driving conditions and assists with steady power delivery for urban and intercity travel.

Compared to the previous model, the new Amaze brings higher safety scores due to the addition of standard ESC and side airbags. The latest version aligns with UN GTR No. 8 and AIS protocols, meeting updated Bharat NCAP requirements.
