Honda Elevate: Powertrain

A 1.5-litre NA petrol motor that also does duty on the Honda City, is the heart of the new SUV. According to Honda, this petrol unit has been adjusted to crank out a maximum power of 119bhp and a peak torque of 145Nm. For transmission, the setup can use either a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. As for the mileage, the petrol manual model claims a fuel economy of 15.31km/l, while the petrol CVT version boasts a fuel efficiency of 16.92km/l. These fuel economy figures are ARAI-certified, and according to the brand, the actual numbers may alter based on driving circumstances.

Honda Elevate: Production Commences

As mentioned earlier, the car manufacturer began producing an SUV at its factory in Tapukara, Rajasthan, India last month. The City and Amaze sedans are also manufactured at the same location. Honda India states that the SUV was designed using the Man Maximum Machine Minimum principle. Furthermore, India is the first country to produce this SUV, which will be available for sale in both domestic and international markets.
