The Honda Elevate, which competes with the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos, was recently revealed in India by the Japanese carmaker. For those unaware, the firm has started taking reservations for the compact SUV for a token amount of Rs 21,000. It should be mentioned that Honda is scheduled to launch the Elevate in the nation in September, with deliveries beginning the following month. Having said that, there will be four variations of the SUV, each in three dual-tone colours and seven single-tone colours. To go into the details, Honda will provide the following colour choices: Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, and Phoenix Orange Pearl. Platinum White Pearl and Lunar Silver Metallic are the sole paint options available for the VX, but Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, and Radiant Red Metallic are the additional four colours for the V version. The manufacturer chose the vibrant Phoenix Orange Pearl colour for the VX and ZX. Only the top-spec ZX trim comes in three dual-tone paint finishes.

New Honda Elevate: Variants and Features

Honda Elevate

Four distinct variants of the Honda Elevate will be available, ranging from the entry-level SV to the top-of-the-line ZX. While the automated gearbox option will be available starting with the V variant, the manual gearbox will be accessible on all models. There will thus be a total of seven variants, spanning manual and automatic. Here's a breakdown of the variant-wise features you can expect the Elevate SUV to come equipped with.

Honda Elevate SV

The Elevate's standard SV version includes LED projector headlights and taillamps, push-button start/stop, automatic air conditioning, beige cloth upholstery, 16-inch steel wheels, and dual-front airbags. A touchscreen infotainment system, however, is probably not included.

Honda Elevate V

In addition to the SV trim, the V version adds an 8.0-inch touchscreen with four speakers, steering-mounted controls, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rearview camera, and connected car technology. On top of that, this variant of the Elevate comes with a CVT automatic transmission.

Honda Elevate VX

A 7.0-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a 6-speaker sound system, a lane watch camera, a single-pane sunroof, auto-folding wing mirrors, LED fog lamps, roof rails, and a wireless charger are all included in the higher-spec VX version.

Honda Elevate ZX

The top-of-the-line ZX variant comprises a soft-touch dashboard, eight speakers, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a Honda Sensing ADAS suite, six airbags, leatherette brown upholstery, and an auto-dimming interior day/night mirror. The Phoenix Orange shade will only be available on the ZX trim for the Elevate. Moreover, this particular trim will be the sole one to offer dual-tone colour choices.

New Honda Elevate: Engine and Gearbox

The fifth-generation Honda City's platform will be utilised in building the new Elevate as well. Besides, it will be propelled by the same 1.5-litre iVTEC petrol engine that powers the City sedan and has a maximum output of 120bhp and 145Nm. Its gearbox options include a CVT or a 6-speed manual. The vehicle's diesel engine won't be included by Honda. Later on, though, a 1.5-litre City petrol-hybrid engine might become available. In terms of the dimensions, it has a length of 4,312mm, a width of 1,790mm, and a height of 1,650mm. It also boasts a 458-litre trunk, which is the largest in its class.
