Launched in June 2021, the three-row Hyundai Alcazar is the company's fifth SUV to join the line-up, which also includes the Venue, Creta, Tucson, and Kona. Based on the Creta, the Alcazar gets two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The former, which is mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT gearbox, develops 158bhp and 253Nm of peak torque, whereas the latter, paired with either a six-speed manual or an automatic torque converter unit, generates 113bhp and 250Nm of maximum torque.

Features-wise, the SUV offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity, as well as a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel. It also gets an idle engine start/stop function, a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, traction and driving modes, and a voice-controlled panoramic sunroof. For safety, it packs six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, ABS (anti-lock braking system), EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), reverse parking sensors, TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, and hill start assist control.

Priced between Rs 16.78 lakh and Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the SUV can be had in six variants: Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature, and Signature (O).
