India-specific Skoda Vision IN compact SUV to debut at 2020 Auto Expo
Skoda has given us the first glimpse of its upcoming compact SUV for the Indian market by revealing the interior design sketch of the Vision IN Concept study. The 4.26-metre long mid-size SUV will be the first model based on the India-specific MQB AO IN modular transverse matrix.

The Vision IN Concept is the precursor to an all-new compact SUV made specifically for the Indian market; global debut at the 2020 Auto Expo in February.
Skoda has given us the first glimpse of its upcoming compact SUV for the Indian market by revealing the interior design sketch of the Vision IN Concept study. The 4.26-metre long mid-size SUV will be the first model based on the India-specific MQB AO IN modular transverse matrix and is likely to be an adaptation of the existing Kamiq SUV sold abroad. Based on its length, the Vision IN will be comparable to the Hyundai Creta (in terms of its size).
As for the interior design, the sketch reveals a wide, layered dashboard with neatly carved AC vents, that are accentuated by surrounding chrome inserts. Another highlight of the cabin is the liberal use of the colour Orange, which, as per Skoda, inspires 'vitality & creativity'. Like most of Skoda's latest international models, the Vision IN also focuses on a minimalist approach towards instrumentation, the result of which is a large free-standing central touchscreen and a virtual cockpit. Apart from the knurl wheels and some buttons on the new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, the entire cabin barely features any conventional buttons or switches. Even the compact gear lever emphasises the same approach.
While powertrain details are likely to be out closer to the concept study's reveal date in February, expect the Skoda Vision IN to make its commercial debut here sometime in the first half of 2021.
