Jeep is likely to bring the highly anticipated Jeep Avenger SUV to our shores.
Jeep is expected to increase the number of SUVs it sells in India. Although Jeep hasn't divulged any information regarding its plans for new products in India, still speculations are rife that it might bring the recently unveiled Jeep Avenger SUV to our market sometime in 2023. If launched in India, the Jeep Avenger SUV is most likely to lock horns with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hyundai Creta.
On the mechanical front, Jeep will bring the model with a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine, which will generate 100bhp and will only be offered with a manual transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) will be available as an option. Additionally, a mild-hybrid version with a 54kWh battery pack made by Stellantis, producing 156bhp and 260Nm, will also be available. The range for the Jeep Avenger electric vehicle is expected to be 400 kilometres.
Jeep's Selec Terrain off-road modes – Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow, and Mud – will be available with both petrol and electric variants. It is expected that the European market will be the first to receive the most-awaited Jeep Avenger SUV.
The Avenger SUV will feature the same CMP modular platform as the Citroen C3. The SUV's front end will have the seven-slot grille of the brand, flanked by split headlights with tiny integrated LED DRLs. It is most likely to have black body cladding, shoulder creases, squared-off taillamps with X-shaped LED lights, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The interior of the Jeep Avenger SUV will have a simple design. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dashboard-mounted rectangular AC vents, a digital driver's display, ambient lighting, adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone climate control, and other features are most likely to be present.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee was the last launch by Jeep in India. We can expect Jeep to bring the Jeep Avenger SUV soon after unveiling it in the European market.
