Kia EV4 Revealed in Hatchback and Sedan Bodystyles Ahead of Global Debut
Upon launch, the Kia EV4 will go head to head against the likes of the Volkswagen ID.4, the Tesla Model 3, and the MG 4.

Kia has officially unveiled the EV4, a cutting-edge EV that will make its global debut in both hatchback and sedan variants at Kia EV Day on February 27. It was initially shown as a concept two years ago, and the production version closely mirrors the original design. Recently, Kia also teased the EV4 alongside two other upcoming electric models: the EV2 and PV5 concepts. Positioned as a dynamic addition to Kia’s expanding EV lineup, the EV4 showcases a bold design language, futuristic technology, and a sustainable approach to mobility. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s “Opposites United” philosophy, the EV4 features sleek aerodynamic lines, an aggressive stance, and a minimalist yet tech-laden interior. With its versatile configurations, the EV4 aims to appeal to a broad spectrum of buyers, strengthening Kia’s foothold in the evolving electric vehicle market ahead of its much-anticipated debut.
Kia EV4: Design Cues

The Kia EV4 embodies the essence of the brand’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, merging sharp, dynamic elements with refined craftsmanship to create a bold and distinctive aesthetic. The sedan variant features a sleek, low-slung front end that extends into a gracefully elongated rear, emphasising a streamlined and sophisticated silhouette. Meanwhile, the hatchback version presents a more versatile and contemporary look, offering a confident, well-proportioned stance. Both models showcase Kia’s signature Star Map lighting, a tiger face grille, and vertically oriented headlamps, reinforcing their sporty and futuristic appeal.

The EV4 sedan is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, a dual-section rear spoiler, and an extended tail design, enhancing its dynamic character. The hatchback, on the other hand, stands out with bold sculpted contours, contrasting black C-pillars, and flared fenders, giving it a more robust presence. For those drawn to a performance-inspired aesthetic, the EV4 GT-Line introduces exclusive 19-inch wheels featuring a geometric motif and aerodynamically optimised front and rear bumpers.
Kia EV4: Other Details

The South Korean automaker has yet to reveal any specifics about the dimensions or interior details of the upcoming model, keeping this information undisclosed for now. It is believed that the EV will share its foundation with the EV6, utilising the E-GMP platform, but there are no updates regarding its charging time, battery specs, and certified range.

The EV4 is expected to go into production by the end of this year, with a global launch next year. It will take on the likes of the Volkswagen ID.4, Tesla Model 3, and the MG 4.
