Kia Seltos Facelift Launched Globally; India Debut Soon

Kia has launched the Seltos SUV facelift in the U.S. market. The updated model of the company's flagship SUV has arrived in the international arena with several improvements, including the ADAS as standard across all trims. Further, the automaker has offered the AWD feature with the updated SUV in the international market. For India, the carmaker has not officially announced anything regarding the launch of the updated SUV. However, market reports claim that the facelift model of the Seltos SUV will make its debut in our market by July this year. It remains to be seen whether the features available with the Kia Seltos facelift will be offered with the India-spec model or not. For now, let's know more about this updated SUV in terms of features, engine, design, and more. 

Kia Seltos Facelift: Exterior 

The redesigned grille with integrated LED DRLs at the front is the exterior's primary highlight. Additionally, it receives a new faux skid plate, LED projector headlamps, and a revised bumper. Along with a new bumper, the SUV has new linked LED tail lights at the rear. Moreover, the updated SUV now rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Kia Seltos Facelift: Interior 

Inside, the facelift model of the Seltos SUV features a 10.25 touchscreen infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity as well as a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel. In addition to synthetic leather seats, it has a steering wheel and gear knob coated in leather. Other notable features of the SUV include wireless charging, heated and ventilated front seats, an electronic parking brake, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more. The ADAS suite is also included in the Seltos SUV. 

Kia Seltos Facelift: Powertrain

In terms of the powertrain, the SUV offers two engine options: 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine and a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbocharged unit. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, is capable of delivering 146bhp and 179Nm, whereas the 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, is capable of producing 195bhp and 264Nm. The engines are paired with both iMT and DCT gearboxes. Additionally, Kia is making its first all-wheel drive system debut with the Seltos.

Kia Seltos Facelift: India Debut Details 

Kia has plans to introduce the facelift model in India. However, there is no official confirmation when the facelift version will enter our market. After the global launch of the Seltos SUV, speculations are rife that the updated SUV will debut in the country soon. As mentioned, several market reports have claimed that the redesigned Seltos SUV will be revealed in India in July 2023.
