Lamborghini officially enters the pre-owned vehicle space to launch the Lamborghini Selezione program globally.

Enthusiasts who wish to own a Lamborghini without spending a fortune now have an alternative, thanks to the rollout of Selezione Lamborghini Certified Pre-Owned – a comprehensive certification program for Lamborghini pre-owned cars. These used machines, like their new counterparts, will be sold through and managed by authorised Lamborghini dealers and service centres worldwide. Acknowledging the fact that supercars can often be tricky to maintain, Selezione Lamborghini aims to eliminate that fear by providing prospective pre-owned vehicle customers with the assurance that their car has passed a rigid evaluation process by trained Lamborghini technicians.

'This is an important new program to support the growing volume of pre-owned Lamborghini cars sold through the authorised dealer network,' said Automobili Lamborghini's Chief Commercial Officer, Federico Foschini. 'In line with our growing production volumes, an increasing number of clients are deciding to buy into the Lamborghini marque, both new and pre-owned models. Today Lamborghini is recognised as a benchmark in the segment in terms of quality and exclusivity. The purpose of Selezione Lamborghini is to now make these standards also available for those who want to take the first significant step into the Lamborghini world with the purchase of a pre-owned Lamborghini,' he added.

To qualify for the Lamborghini Selezione program, the super sports cars (Aventador and the Huracan) must not be driven more than 70,000km and should not be older than 84 months. Likewise, for the Urus, these stipulations stand at 1,00,000km and 120 months. Further, the car should also have undergone scheduled maintenance as per Lamborghini's service schedules and, lastly, it needs to pass a 150-point evaluation before it can be sold.

As for the after-sales, each Selezione Lamborghini pre-owned vehicle will be offered with a minimum 12-month warranty (extendable to 24-months) which will cover the costs for both parts and labour. The warranty coverage can be transferred free of charge to another owner in the future. Roadside Assistance (RSA) is also provided for the duration of the warranty and a complimentary, subsequent six-month check is offered to all buyers of a Lamborghini Selezione.

While Selezione Lamborghini has been launched with effect from February 2019, the service will be rolled out to markets all around the world later in 2019.
