Lamborghini India has opened its new Mumbai dealership with Infinity Cars Private Limited and with it, has also launched the Huracan Evo Spyder.

After launching the coupe here in February 2019, Lamborghini has now launched the Huracan Evo Spyder at ₹ 4.1 crores (Ex-showroom). Compared to the coupe, the spyder carries a premium of about ₹ 37 lakh. To accommodate the folding roof, the Huracan Evo Spyder features a revised rear compartment & engine cover. The folding roof, a soft-top, is capable of operating an opening/closing cycle in about 17 seconds & can even function while the car is moving (at speeds of up to 50km/h). As is the case with most convertibles, the Huracan Evo Spyder has gained weight, becoming 120kg heavier than its coupe sibling.

The rest of the mechanicals on the Huracan Evo Spyder remain identical to those used on the coupe. Both versions draw their power from the same 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated Lamborghini V10, which puts out 630bhp (at 8,000rpm) & 600Nm of torque (at 6,500rpm). While the achievable top speed for both versions remains the same (325km/h), the Spyder, due to its extra weight, is 0.2 seconds slower to 100km/h (3.1 seconds) than the coupe.

The Huracan Evo Spyder, like its sibling, also gets drive-enhancing features like rear-wheel steering & a four-wheel torque vectoring system, both governed by the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) command module. The Huracan Evo's driving modes (Strada, Sport & Corsa) are also calibrated via the LDVI system & can be switched on the fly via the ANIMA system.
