Lexus has just launched the NX350h Overtrail in India, although the model already made its debut a month ago in the Japanese market. Priced at Rs 71.17 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the new variant of the NX350h features a range of cosmetic changes over the standard model that help it stand apart. On the outside, the new Lexus NX350h Overtrail gets a blacked-out treatment – the spindle grille, roof rails, door mirrors and handles are now black – complete with a new Moon Desert shade. The Overtrail rides on Matte Black alloy wheels wrapped in higher-profile tyres. Also, the vehicle has Lexus' Adaptive Variable Suspension and E-Four all-wheel drive.
Inside the cabin, the Lexus NX350h Overtrail has a Monolith palette interior with a nature-inspired Geo Layer door trim. The interior is based on Lexus' concept of Tazuna, offering enhanced communication between the driver and the vehicle. Features-wise, the car offers connected technology (Data Communication Module), connected services providing access to safety, Connect (e-call, stolen vehicle tracking, remote immobilisation, driver alert, Find my Car), Service Connect (Service History, Service Estimate, Service Reminder, RSA, Pro Care), and Comfort Connect (engine start-stop, door lock/unlock, remote AC, remote power windows, remote status check through smartphones). Other bits are a panoramic sunroof and e-latch door technology.
In terms of safety, the Lexus N350h Overtrail gets advanced driver assistance systems that include dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, lane tracing alert, pre-collision system, safe exit assist, and SRS airbags.
Under the hood, the new variant of the Lexus NX350h comes with a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine and a lithium-ion battery. The engine with a CVT develops 240bhp and 270Nm of torque, while the battery promises enhanced performance. Lexus says that an emphasis on aerodynamics has led to enhanced stability and performance.
Besides, an 8-year/160,000km hybrid battery warranty and a 5-year Roadside Assistance are on offer. The Overtrail Edition will be available at Lexus Guest Experience centres in India.
Mr Tanmay Bhattacharya, Executive Vice-President, Lexus India said, "We are thrilled to launch the Lexus NX 350h Overtrail in India, a vehicle that embodies the spirit of outdoor luxury.
