Lexus has released a teaser of its upcoming supercar ahead of its global debut on 5 December 2025, giving a first look at what will follow the LFA. The unveiling is part of Toyota Motor Corporation’s All New Sports Models World Premiere, set for 11:00 am Tokyo time (7:30 am IST).

Lexus identifies this new model as the LFA’s successor, linking it to the V10-powered car produced between 2010 and 2012. The car has been developed under the Gazoo Racing. The world premiere will stream live on Toyota’s YouTube channel on 5 December.

The teaser shows silhouettes of the Lexus supercar, the Toyota GR GT and what appears to be a GT3 racing model. The Lexus car uses a rear lighting signature that matches the Sport Concept displayed at Monterey Car Week and the Japan Mobility Show. Toyota also showed camouflaged prototypes of two sports cars at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2025.

The Toyota GR GT sits at the centre of the teaser, and its name now stands confirmed through a recent Japanese television advertisement. Toyota plans to bring Gazoo Racing forward as a core global brand, with Lexus placed within a new five-brand structure under the Century line.

Both the Lexus supercar and the Toyota GR GT will use a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 hybrid powertrain. Toyota’s powertrain head has confirmed that future Lexus models will continue with V8 technology, including the production version of the Sport Concept. The GR GT’s combustion engine alone is projected to produce around 800bhp, showing the direction of Toyota’s performance plan.

Production is targeted for 2026, and the model may replace the LC coupe and convertible while taking the LFA’s place in the lineup. Toyota will also join the 2026 Supercars Championship in Australia with a V8 Supra, rounding off a sports car rollout that began with the GR GT3 project.
