Mahindra commences online new car sales via its Own-Online platform through a simple four-step process that even allows customers to check their financial eligibility and choose from multiple finance schemes to generate their sanction letter online.

Mahindra Automotive has commenced online new car sales for its entire new car model range via its new Own-Online website that is designed to offer a complete end-to-end online vehicle ownership experience. Prospective customers can now copy and paste this URL, www.mahindrasyouv.com/Own-Online, in their browser's address bar and navigate the easy-to-use website, which largely has four defined steps to complete the online car purchasing process.

The first step is 'Explore and Personalise'. As the name suggests, customers can open the website and select the model of their choice, post which they will receive verification information by a mandatory contact number entry process. Once this is over, customers can proceed to personalise their vehicle with accessories and opt for services, such as extended warranty and roadside assistance. Customers can also use the online chat and video conferencing tools to chat with Mahindra product and online process experts to get any assistance they require during the process.

The next step is 'Get Instant Exchange Quote'. It requires customers to enter their existing vehicle information to receive an instant, real-time price quotation for their trade-in car. Customers will also be able to see a detailed breakdown of the price of their new Mahindra, complete with taxes, registration cost, etc.

Post this step, customers will proceed to the next step called 'Choose Finance and Insurance', which gives customers options of various finance and insurance schemes and allows them to receive online approval for the same. It is safe to assume that this process might take some time and that customers will receive some sort of a booking number or customer ID, which they can use to access the vehicle information and finance scheme on the website. However, the website does say that customers can generate multiple quotations by filling in their details to check financial eligibility and generate an online sanction letter for the same, while the insurance purchase is processed via the dealership of their choice.

Once the finance scheme approval comes through, they can proceed to the fourth and last step of the process, which is 'Payment and Delivery @doorstep". As the name suggests, now, they can make an online payment for the vehicle and take doorstep delivery of their new Mahindra.

Speaking about the launch of Own-Online, Veejay Nakra, CEO – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, 'Today we are delighted to launch "Own-Online" platform, India’s most complete, end-to-end, online car ownership solution. Its easy & convenient 4-step journey allows the customer to own a Mahindra vehicle in less time than it takes to get a pizza delivered!'
