Mahindra Scorpio crosses 50,000 sales mark for fourth consecutive year

Bagging eight awards this season, Mahindra Scorpio touched a sales figure of 51,553 units in FY15, crossing the 50,000 mark for fourth year in a row.

It seems that the new Mahindra Scorpio is surely adding onto the legacy of its predecessors. India’s leading SUV manufacturer released its latest sales figures recently and according to the data, there is no threat to the Numero Uno spot that Scorpio enjoys in the segment.

Moreover, September was the best ever month in terms of sales for the Mahindra Scorpio. Mahindra sold a staggering 6,060 units of Scorpio in the month of September. It also won eight awards this season, six of which were ‘SUV of the Year’, hence making sure that it still remains the most loved SUV in the Indian market.

The latest generation of the Mahindra Scorpio carries on the legacy that was started 13 year ago in 2002 in the best way possible. It is powered by the highly successful mHawk engine that delivers 118bhp of power and 280Nm of torque. The new generation platform, a new generation transmission, with a new cushion suspension technology and anti-roll technology ensure that the vehicle is capable enough to tackle most of the terrains India has to offer.
