Upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door SUV Interior Leaked Again Ahead of India Launch Next Year

The interior of the forthcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door leaked before its official market introduction, and images of it are currently doing the rounds online. A larger infotainment system with buttons at the bottom is visible in the spy photos. The 3-door variant of the car currently comes with a 7-inch touchscreen head unit from Mahindra. The other HVAC vents and controls, however, still appear to be the same as before in the spy photos. However, the cup holders and center armrest have just been added. In addition, Mahindra has upgraded the upholstery on the seats. The SUV's three-door model has an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 10.54 lakh in India. In contrast, the upcoming five-door variant is anticipated to cost more, perhaps between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 18 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Mahindra Thar 5-door: Engine

The identical 2.0-litre turbo-petrol motor and 2.2-litre diesel mill will probably continue to power the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door. The petrol unit has a maximum power output of 320Nm and 150bhp. The diesel mill, on the other hand, produces 130bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. 

Mahindra Thar 5-door: Expected Features 

For the new five-door Thar, Mahindra hasn't officially released all the details. However, market reports suggest that the new Thar could include a plethora of features, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, a digital instrument panel, a wireless charger, cruise control, rear AC vents, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic headlamps, and more.

Mahindra Thar 5-door:  Price Expectation and India Launch

Mahindra officially reported that the country will receive the new Thar 5-door next year. The Thar's 5-door variant was assumed to go on sale in 2023, according to some previous market reports. However, Rajesh Jejurikar, Mahindra's Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (Auto and Farm Sector), officially stated that the firm has no plans to launch the SUV in India this year. He confirmed by saying that the five-door model will go on sale in CY24. As mentioned above, the SUV is anticipated to come with a price tag that ranges between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 18 lakh. Both are ex-showroom figures.
