Here's how the newly-launched Mahindra XUV 7XO differs from its predecessor, the XUV700, across a range of parameters, including design and features.

The new Mahindra XUV 7XO is a heavily updated version of the XUV700, with a new bold design language, DAVINCI suspension technology, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos and 3D sound. Mahindra claims the XUV 7XO supercharges everything that made the XUV700 a hit. But does it truly elevate the experience, or is it just a minor upgrade in disguise? Let's find out.

The silhouette remains largely the same; however, Mahindra has made subtle changes across the profile to give it a facelifted look. The biggest differences are evident at the front. These include new dual-pod LED projector headlamps, higher-set single-piece LED DRLs, and a wider grille. A more sculpted bumper and pixel-like LED fog lamps round off the updated look.

Along the sides, the strong character lines, tall stance, and flush door handles remain the same, but new alloy wheels are introduced.

The rear has received a mild refresh, featuring LED taillamps with pixel detailing, a centrally positioned XUV 7XO badge, and a subtly redesigned bumper.

The XUV 7XO surpasses the XUV700 in terms of features. Unlike the XUV700’s dual 10.25-inch screens, the XUV 7XO comes equipped with three 12.3-inch displays for the driver, central infotainment, and a dedicated passenger screen.

The SUV also features a 6-way powered co-driver’s seat with boss mode, a new 2-spoke steering wheel with a gloss-black finish, a black, beige, and tan theme, a 540-degree surround-view camera, and Level-2 ADAS with Sense+, with range (sensor) extended from 170m to 250m, complemented by 3D radar visualisation. That said, both Mahindra SUVs continue to have 6- and 7 configurations.
The new XUV 7XO starts on par with the XUV700 at Rs 13.66 lakh, but its fully loaded variants are priced slightly higher at Rs 24.11 lakh, reflecting the added features and updated design language. For reference, the XUV700’s flagship AX7L Ebony Edition 7‑Seater Diesel AT AWD comes with a price tag of Rs 23.71 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
