Mahindra XUV300 garners 13,000 bookings within a month of launch

Owing to its massive appeal as a 'value-for-money' compact SUV loaded with features, the XUV300 is raging ahead with its sales statistics.

About four days before its launch, Mahindra had announced that the XUV300 has received more than 4,000 pre-launch bookings with 60,000 customer enquiries. Now, exactly a month after its launch, the homegrown carmaker has made yet another record-breaking announcement that the XUV300 has crossed 13,000 bookings and has received over 2.5 lakh inquiries. What's interesting here is that three out of every four XUV300 bookings are for one of the top-spec variants. 

Sharing his thoughts on the noteworthy milestone, Mr Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing (Automotive Division) at Mahindra & Mahindra said, 'We are extremely happy with the overwhelming response to the XUV300. In a highly competitive segment such as the compact SUV, we have received over 13,000 bookings and in the very first month itself, we have entered into the top 3. This is in-line with our objective of achieving 15 to 20 per cent share of this segment and reaffirms the fact that the XUV300 proposition has resonated well with the customers. What is also encouraging is that over 75 per cent of our bookings are for the top-end variants of the XUV300.'

The Mahindra XUV300 range starts from Rs ₹ 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base W4 petrol variant and goes up all the way to ₹ 11.9 lakh for the top-spec W8 (O) diesel variant. Apart from housing one of the punchiest engines in the segment, the XUV300 also scores additional points for its numerous segment-first features such as front parking sensors, seven airbags, heated ORVMs, dual-zone climate control, steering modes and disc brakes on all four wheels. Other than these, the list of convenience features goes on with the likes of a cooled armrest compartment, cruise control, steering-mounted audio controls, rear-view camera and more.
