Mahindra XUV700 bags 25,000 bookings in one hour

Mahindra will run the XUV700 production line in full swing for the next six months as the SUV has received an overwhelming response. Mahindra says the XUV700 has received over 2.6 lakh enquiries until now.

The bookings for the highly anticipated SUV, the Mahindra XUV700 commenced this morning (October 7) at 10 am. Within 57 minutes Mahindra received a total of 25,000 bookings for the XUV700.

The recently released introductory prices of the Mahindra XUV700, according to Mahindra, were applicable only for the first 25,000 bookings.

Mahindra will resume bookings for the XUV700 tomorrow i.e October 8, at 10:00 am; however, this time the SUV will have a revised price list. The entry-level price of the Mahindra XUV700 has gone up by Rs 50,000 and the top-of-the-line diesel AWD now costs Rs 10,000 more.

Veejay Nakra, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said, ‘We opened bookings at 10 am this morning. We are humbled and grateful for the response, in fact, thrilled that we have received 25000 XUV700 bookings in a record time of 57 minutes from its commencement.  This constitutes up to six months of production depending on the variant at the committed launch prices. While we had anticipated the traffic and prepared our system with added server capacity, the overwhelming response could have regrettably led to a slow user experience by some our customers.’
