Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition Launched at Rs 19.64 Lakh in India
Like the standard Mahindra XUV700, the Ebony Edition offers two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel.

Mahindra has rolled out the brand-new XUV700 Ebony Edition in India, exclusively available for the top-tier AX7 and AX7 L seven-seater variants. The AX7-based variant is priced between Rs 19.64 lakh and Rs 21.79 lakh, while the AX7 L variant falls within a higher range of Rs 23.34 lakh to Rs 24.14 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. Talking about the design updates, the XUV700 Ebony Edition debuts with an exclusive high-gloss black exterior finish. Adding to its bold presence are fully blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels – retaining the same design as the standard model – along with distinctive Ebony badging positioned on the front fenders and tailgate. To introduce a subtle contrast, silver-finished scuff plates have been integrated into the front and rear bumpers. With this new addition, the XUV700 lineup now offers a total of eight single-tone paint choices and five dual-tone paint jobs.

Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition: Powertrain Options
Under the hood, there are no mechanical updates. Like the standard XUV700, the Ebony Edition is available with two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol unit that produces 197bhp of maximum power and 380Nm of torque and a 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering 182bhp and 450Nm of torque.

Both powertrains are offered with a choice between a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic gearbox. The 2.2-litre diesel remains the most powerful and torquiest engine in its category. Additionally, the XUV700 continues to distinguish itself in the segment by offering an optional all-wheel-drive system.
Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition: Interior and Features

The most striking updates are within the cabin, as the XUV700 already boasts an all-black exterior. The Ebony Edition carries this theme into the interior, featuring an entirely black design enhanced with silver accents. The leatherette seats are now upholstered in black with contrasting silver stitching, lending a premium feel. Glossy black elements have been incorporated throughout the cabin to maintain a sleek and sophisticated look. Meanwhile, silver trims and dark chrome accents on components such as the climate control knobs, AC vent surrounds, as well as steering wheel, provide subtle contrast. To prevent the cabin from feeling overly dark, the roof liner has been finished in a light grey shade, offering a balanced aesthetic.

In terms of equipment, the Ebony Edition carries over all features from the variants it is built upon. The AX7 trim is packed with advanced features, including rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, a Level 2 ADAS suite, dual-zone climate control, and a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory settings. The AX7L trim takes things further by incorporating an electronic parking brake, a blind spot monitoring system, sequential LED turn indicators at the rear, a sophisticated 12-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats, seven airbags, and a 360-degree camera setup. Additionally, Mahindra has upgraded safety across the entire XUV700 range by introducing a rear seat belt reminder as a standard feature.
Coming to the market competition, the model will go up against rivals such as the Tata Safari Dark Edition and the MG Hector Plus Blackstorm Edition.
