Maruti Suzuki Baleno Automatic launched in Alpha variant

Mated to a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) the Maruti Suzuki Baleno Alpha variant is priced at Rs 8.34 lakhs

Maruti Suzuki has now introduced an automatic gearbox in the top-spec Alpha trim of the Baleno. The Baleno Alpha CVT is priced at Rs 8.34 lakhs (ex-showroom). When the hatchback was launched in 2015, the automatic gearbox option was only available in the Delta trim. A year after its launch, the company added the automatic option in the mid-level Zeta variant too. With the addition of the automatic gearbox in the top-sped Alpha trim, now only the base Sigma variant misses out on the automatic gearbox option.

As far as the engine goes, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno automatic comes with a 1.2-litre petrol motor that is good for 83bhp and 115Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed CVT. In terms of features, this fully loaded variant comes with projector headlamps, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink, leather wrapped steering wheel, alloy wheels, keyless entry, button start and more.

The Baleno was the second model to be sold through Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa line of dealerships. Since the time of its launch, the hatchback has been consistently been bringing good number for Maruti Suzuki. The Manesar-based car maker has sold over 2,00,000 units of the Baleno since the time of its launch in 2015.
