Maruti Suzuki India has confirmed a reduction in prices across its entire model line-up, following the revised Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates. The updated prices will come into effect from 22 September 2025, marking the start of the festive season. The company has stated that the full benefit of the lowered tax will be passed on to buyers through adjusted ex-showroom prices. The price revision is aimed at supporting demand in the passenger vehicle market under the updated GST structure.
Entry-level models have recorded the sharpest cuts, making them more accessible to first-time customers. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is now cheaper by up to Rs 1.29 lakh, while the Alto K10 has received a reduction of Rs 1.07 lakh. Other hatchbacks including the Wagon R, Celerio and Ignis have seen price cuts between Rs 71,000 and Rs 93,000.

The GST-linked reduction adds to recent economic measures including repo rate cuts and income tax rebates, which together could ease loan repayments and improve disposable income for buyers. Maruti Suzuki estimates that customers may save around 8.5 per cent under the revised pricing. The initiative could encourage wider car ownership and draw more two-wheeler users towards hatchbacks and SUVs.
