Maruti Suzuki has introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model for the e-Vitara (its first for the Indian market). Instead of a hefty one-time payment for the battery, customers will subscribe to a flexible monthly plan, paying only for the battery usage as they drive. The carmaker is also offering a subscription plan, and an assured buyback option.
