Maruti Suzuki has launched the e Vitara Electric SUV in India, following its debut in December last year. The SUV is priced from Rs 10.99 lakh under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, with a battery usage fee of Rs 3.99 per kilometre. Although the complete variant-wise price list has not been revealed yet, bookings for the e-SUV have already begun with a token amount of Rs 21,000. Interested customers looking to book Maruti Suzuki’s first-ever electric SUV, the e Vitara, can easily reserve their vehicle through the official Nexa online portal. The online booking process is hassle-free and requires the following steps.
- Visit the official Nexa website, locate the e Vitara section, and click on ‘Book Now’ to begin.
- After this, you will be prompted to provide your name and mobile number. This information is essential for verification and communication regarding your booking. Once entered, click ‘Proceed’ to move to the next step.
-To ensure the security of your booking, Nexa will send a One-Time Password (OTP) to the mobile number you provided. Enter this OTP on the website to verify your number and confirm your identity.
- After this, select your preferred e Vitara variant and colour. You can take your time to explore the options and choose the one that best suits your requirements.
- Pick a nearby Nexa dealership from the list of options. Fill in the remaining details required for the booking form and make a token payment of Rs 21,000.
-After successful payment, your booking is confirmed. The selected dealership will contact you to schedule test drives and keep you updated on delivery timelines once the e Vitara arrives at the showroom.

The Vitara is offered with two battery pack options (49kWh/61kWh), and three core variants (Delta, Zeta, and Alpha). The Delta trim comes with a 49kWh battery, and a range of up to 440 kilometres. Its single electric motor delivers 142bhp and 193Nm. The battery can be fully replenished in 6.5 hours using a 7.4 kW AC home charger or in just 45 minutes with a DC fast charger.

Meanwhile, the Zeta and Alpha variants feature a bigger 61kWh battery pack, which is capable of covering up to 543 kilometres on a single charge. The power output stands at 172bhp while the torque remains unchanged. AC charging takes around 9 hours, while fast DC charging remains the same 45 minutes.
