Maruti Suzuki, one of the leading automakers in India, celebrated its 40th anniversary by introducing Black Editions of some of its popular models. These cars receive a new exterior colour called Pearl Midnight Black. The models have officially started to arrive at Nexa and Arena showrooms across the country. The Ignis Black Edition has just entered the fray and is available at dealers. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis Black Edition rides on piano black alloy wheels and wears the previously mentioned Pearl Midnight Black body paint. The Ignis Black Edition's grille and headlamps are framed in chrome for aesthetic purposes. Notably, there are two Ignis Black Edition variants available: Zeta and the top-spec Alpha trim. Meanwhile, the second phase of the BS6 emissions norms will go into effect on April 1, 2023. With this in mind, all automakers are updating their vehicles, and Maruti Suzuki recently launched the 2023 RDE-compliant Ignis for Rs 5.82 lakh (ex-showroom).
The sole petrol engine in the Ignis hatchback has been updated to meet upcoming Real Driving Emission (RDE) standards. The hatchback is also available in six monotone and two dual-tone colour schemes. Some of the monotone colours are Turquoise Blue, Lucent Orange, Nexa Blue, Glistening Grey, Silky Silver, and Pearl Arctic White. Nexa Blue (Black, Grey Roof) and Lucent Orange with a Black roof are two of its dual-tone paint options, which cost Rs 14,000 more than standard paint.
